Providing low-cost telephone systems for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Telecom Matters Corp. provides voice and data infrastructure for small- and medium-sized businesses. We are located in Denver, Colorado, USA, and our service area is the western United States.

Our IP-PBX product is a low-cost, feature rich, scalable, PC-based system that provides the voice infrastructure for your office(s). We can also provide web server, file server functions for your office. We provide installation and ongoing maintenance and support. We can also provide the LAN infrastructure (router, switch, wiring, etc.) for a new location.

The IP-PBX utilizes the Linux operating system and open source applications. The IP-PBX software is from the Asterisk project. Our product includes all hardware and software, configured and installed. The system can be purchased or leased, and our services can be based on a support contract or on time and materials. There are no software license fees associated with our product or accessories.

Additionally, we can provide customized software to meet your voice and data integration requirements.

  • Replace Your Existing Telephone System

We will replace your existing Key or PBX system with a full-featured IP-PBX telephone system. Our product is scalable from a small system (with one or two incoming lines and a few telephone sets) up to a system with many incoming T1 circuits and hundreds of telephone sets distributed over multiple locations.

  • Upgrade Your Existing Telephone System

We will "front-end" your existing PBX with our product to provide enhanced calling features. "Front-end" means that we will place a IP-PBX system between the PSTN and your existing telephone system. Existing T1 circuits will connect with the new IP-PBX, and crossover cables will connect the new IP-PBX and the legacy system. There will be no change to the legacy system, and the existing telephone sets will continue to be used. This upgrade will provide voice-mail for each of your employees, auto attendant, IVR (Interactive Voice Response), call queuing, and more.

Or, we will "back-end" your existing PBX with an IP-PBX to provide voice and data services to remote locations. "Back-end" means that we will place our PBX system between your existing system and your remote sites. A T1 circuit(s) will be installed between the legacy system and the new IP-PBX, and a T1 circuit(s) (or a Internet broadband connection) will be installed between the new system and the remote site(s). A new IP-PBX system may also be installed at the remote site(s). This upgrade will provide voice and data services to the remote site(s) as well as a unified dialing plan for your enterprise.

  • Integrate Your Voice and Data Applications

With our product, an incoming call may be directed to a specific account representative based on the customer profile. With our product, the customer information can be retrieved from an existing CRM database and displayed on the service representative's screen before the call is answered.

  • Utilize Voice over IP (VoIP) Calling

This product allows your business to utilize Internet calling. Using one or more subscription services, outbound calling will cost about 1.2ยข per minute. Also, DID numbers can be used to establish a business presence in distant cities.

VoIP telephone sets may be used with this IP-PBX. VoIP telephones utilize LAN wiring (instead of telephone wiring) to connect with the IP-PBX system (and the Internet).

Additionally, soft-phone programs can be used from inside or outside the firewall to provide complete IP-PBX functionality on a PC or laptop equipped with a headset. This feature is useful for call center agents, work-at-home employees, and road warriors.

  • Unified Messaging

With unified messaging, voice mail message notifications can be delivered via e-mail to the recipient. The voice message itself (a .wav file) can also be delivered as an attachment to the e-mail notification. Additionally, inbound fax messages can be delivered via e-mail to the recipient. The fax itself (a .pdf file) can be delivered as an attachment to the e-mail message.

Telecom Matters has partnered with Eschelon Telecom and CBeyond Communications to provide end-to-end voice and data infrastructure for your business.
